New Age Diploma in Care Program

Most Caregivers in Canada have all around jobs. They stay-in, with their Safta (Grand Mother) or Saba (Grand Father) or both, or Aba (Father) or Ima (Mother) or both. Others also work for a child or a family. Several Caregivers are living alone with their boss. Meaning, there are 2-3 persons in a house including the Caregiver. Generally, if a caregiver lives alone with one employer, he or she will do the shopping errand, cleaning, washing, bathing and other works that need his / her assistance. There are few caregivers also, to whom we call live-out. They only attend their employers with a specific time. This will depend on the situation of the employer.

Living alone with the employer who can’t do anything because of illness will require the caregiver to do all the household chores, including assistance to the bathroom.
   Specifics would be as under:
  1.  Living alone with an employer who can’t do anything other than going to the toilet and bath.
  2.  Couple employer, where one is sick and the other is okay; there are employers who will do thecooking for the whole household.
  3.  The caregiver’s employer lives in a home for the aged, where they will only visit them in a givenperiod of time. This is mostly for the live-out carer.
  4.  In a family, most caregivers would only take care of 1 or 2 children. They may be healthy, who onlynecessitates assistance for their daily needs or someone who is sick.
  5.  Caregiver’s employer is going to a Mohadon or club. This will require them to assist their olds ingoing to the place. Some could go alone, with a service picking them from their own        home, whileothers would go with their respective caregivers.
There are other circumstances aside from what we have mentioned above. However those are the commonest.
Generally the work of a caregiver in Canada is simple and somewhat undemanding, unlike jobs in other countries as an elderly care; life here in Canada is much easier.
The above caregiver descriptions define the basic duties involved with each position. These lists do not cover all responsibilities and duties involved with each position.
Tender Hearts Senior Care reserves the right to change these descriptions in the future as needed.
